Who is behind Sari Irene Art?
Sari Hurme-Mehtälä (born 1982) is a Finnish female artist from Helsinki, currently living in Kirkkonummi, where she is also the Chair of the Board for the Kirkkonummi Art Association. She received an arts stipend in high school and applied to The University of Arts, and almost got in. The commercial media and advertising world took over for 20 years and did not paint at all, as she felt there was never time for it.
When the pandemic started in 2020, Sari started to paint to prevent a burnout as she was the founder & CEO for an international edtech startup having customers from 30 countries. Abstract art paintings were piling up and family and friends wanted those. Then also art collectors around the world started to buy those. So far from Finland, France, Mexico, UK, US and United Arab Emirates. Sari founded her own limited company Sari Irene Art Oy in 2023, the same time she did an exit to the US from her startup. Sari has had also international exhibits overseas in U.S. - Mexico border as solo exhibition and a group exhibition in New York City!
